New Life to My List!

As I entered into year 2 of my list, I was beginning to think that it might flop. Then the "Great Pause" happened and school, dance, Girl Scouts were all cancelled. Then my office closed and I was sent home to work in my living room. At first, I played the Sims 4 and binge watched House on Amazon Prime, but you can only do that for so long, you know.  Some of the things on my list might be halted, because of Covid-19 like visiting 5 different museums. Sure, I could do virtual visits, but that's not the way I want to do that. Virtual visits just make me want to be there more. I have a lot of updates coming! Keep your eyes peeled :-)

2020 Isn't Panning Out Like I Thought It Might

I had a draft saved from 1/1/2020 that was full of hope for 2020. After a rough and rocky 2019 where my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes a month before her 8th birthday, I felt like I was tumbling downhill and just couldn't get my footing. I was going to do better in 2020... then Covid-19 happened.

I guess I got my wish, because the world stopped. I've been relegated to my house to work from home and home school my kids. We haven't been getting takeout because we're trying to minimize contact as much as possible to protect our parents, children and ourselves. No take out means cooking at home. No pizza, no Wendy's, no Chinese food. To be honest, I don't really miss it. Some days, I could really go go a grilled chicken salad from the local restaurant or ice cream from DQ, but I was so burned out on fast food.

We're watching movies and reading books and working on Girl Scout badge work until the world becomes"normalish" again. Here's to the hope that we return to a world that is more healed and people who are more thankful for all the good that they have in their lives.
